CDL B Driver
Homestead Garden is hiring a full-time seasonal CDL B Driver. Driver must have an Air Break Endorsement and be able to comply with all CDL requirements. This position includes manual labor (loading and unloading trucks). Applicant must be reliable and have an insurable driving record. This position does include some weekends. Assistant Receiving Manager
Homestead Gardens is looking for an Assistant Receiving Manager. This position will be responsible for assisting our Receiving Manager with processes that include pricing, location id, organizing documents, transferring materials and maintaining inventory control at our Davidsonville warehouse facility. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for assisting with tracking distribution of received goods and reporting to Managers the current stock of materials. Candidate must have excellent organizational and computer skills, be detailed-oriented, and communicate well with others. This is a full-time hourly position. Inventory Control/Data Entry Manager – Horticultural Supply Division
Homestead Gardens is seeking a full time, energetic, detail-oriented individual to maintain an accurate inventory of all products in our Horticultural Supply Division. This clerical/data entry position includes daily receiving of all inventory in the computer, occasional order placement with vendors, and performs physical inventory twice a year. Other duties include delivery and pick-up of interoffice mail, assist cashier, answer phones, maintain appearance of store as needed, and oversee transactions between Company Divisions. Some Saturdays are required during the peak season. You must be able to multitask and work in fast-paced environment. Homestead Gardens Inc. – Landscape Services Division located in Davidsonville, Maryland is seeking Sales Associates experienced in landscape design and sales. Our Landscape Division offers professional landscape design and installation services for residential and commercial clients. We offer a broad range of landscape services including on-site consultations, full-service landscape design, plantings, masonry, irrigation, outdoor rooms, retaining walls and water features. Landscape Maintenance services include lawns, seasonal maintenance and cleanup, seasonal color enhancements and weekly site management. If you enjoy working with a team of dedicated professionals serving clients and possess the ability to create professional proposals that accurately estimate the cost and timeline of the project, we would love to hear from you. Container Garden Specialist
We are seeking an experienced individual to oversee all aspects of the container production program for our retail operation, as well as for outside customers in order to maximize sales. This includes designing, selecting and gathering plant materials, soil, and containers utilized to build mixed planters for Annuals, Greenhouse, Nursery and Perennials Departments. Must be creative and be able to select compatible plants to grow in the containers — providing our customers with unique, custom-designed planters for all occasions. This position is part-time.
