Davidsonville Store
More than a local treasure–it’s a lifestyle.
Join us in celebrating life along the bay as we kick-off the 2013 growing season with our annual Spring Open House. In our 40th Anniversary year, we chose to theme our premier event around something close to our hearts–the Chesapeake Bay, a local treasure. As a leader in the local green industry, we must also be a leader in the preservation of such an important resource.
We’ve turned our store into a seaside paradise for our customers–to explore, learn from and be inspired by…
What to Expect
Inspiration.
From native plants and rain gardening to organic fertilizers, we’ll show you how you can take positive steps to help preserve the Chesapeake Bay. Come be inspired by our multiple displays reflecting new gardening and outdoor living trends!
Education.
In addition to scheduled seminars and workshops, there will also be displays provided by Marylanders Plant Trees, South River Federation and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. They will be here to stress the value of stewardship and the importance of a sustainable future.

Take what you learn home–one small, positive step can make a difference! Be a steward in the community and share with your neighbors and friends. Let’s make a commitment to work together to create a smarter, greener Maryland.

New For 2013: Homestead Barnyard Debut
Our Spring Open House will be the debut of new animal friends at Homestead Gardens. This spring we are unveiling our Homestead Barnyard–home to donkeys and goats, rabbits and chickens. Children of all ages will be able to get up close to see the sights and smells and hear the voices that make up a real-live barnyard.
50 chicks will be at Open House to delight the children and kick-off our new backyard chicken program!
